Caprichos (2025)
According to the Spanish language dictionary, the word “capricho” is defined as: “a decision made arbitrarily, inspired by a whim, a mood, or delight in the extravagant and original.”
Caprichos is a collection of ten songs — a poetic spellbook woven from years of writing in notebooks filled with pressed leaves, rhymes, and verses that reveal new secrets with every listen.
A personal production that becomes a space of creative freedom, rich with melodies, strings, pianos, voices, and guitars capturing musical essence through honest lyrics, untouched by conditions or filters.
Madame Récamier surrenders entirely to a pure musical whim, allowing her melodic ideas to lead the way without interference from outside agents such as opinions, trends, or expectations.
An album that reflects her unique ability to connect deeply through instinct and artistry.
Caprichos is not just an album — it is a personal diary.
Amor Nuvó (2023)
The album was produced by herself and several producer friends: Álvaro "Wanatox," David Francis O'Gorman, Phill Vinal, David Aguilar, and Ulises Hadjis. It features guests like Pahua on the track "El Jamás" and David Aguilar, with whom she co-wrote the song "Como yo quisiera." In this phase of self-management and musical maturity, Madame Récamier invites her audience to explore a new approach within the spectrum of love through reflective verses and captivating melodies.
The album 'Amor Nuvó' began to reveal its essence through the release of two tracks: 'Bon Voyage Amour' and 'Bailemos Lento.' These songs offer a preliminary glimpse of the overall concept and idea that will be explored in the full album. Each of them encapsulates the essence and central theme of 'Amor Nuvó.'
With this evocative title, Madame Récamier invites her audience to explore a new approach to love through her music and to immerse themselves in a sonic universe that combines elegance, passion, and authenticity.
No Olvidar (2019)
She took a bold risk by covering songs from bands like Maná and the iconic El Tri, knowing that many fans are not particularly fond of these bands and that it might seem unusual for an indie female artist to choose such covers. The album was the first recorded at "Nueva York Música," Wanatox’s studio, which had acquired an MCI 500 console and underwent a long and tedious restoration process, leading to the establishment of the "Nueva York Música" studio in Mexico City. The name came much later, as a joke about how artists spend so much to record in New York despite having excellent studios in Mexico.
One day, Madame visited the Society of Authors and Composers with the mission of greeting Alex Lora and showing him the tracks from the album. With the help of her friends Gonzalo Cuvier and José Alfredo Jiménez Jr., she managed to meet Alex, share the tracks, chat about music, and even invite him to sing on one of her songs. He agreed and sent his vocals from his studio, which were later mixed by David Francis O’Gorman at Panoram Studios.
This album turned many heads and led to a major promotional tour and a metro tour across Mexico City, culminating in performances at Lunario, Machaca Fest, and Vive Latino 2020 just days before the pandemic. "No Olvidar" closes with the song "El Nopal" by Rockdrigo González, a distant instant from the past. Madame knew this album was filled with unforgettable songs.
Mi Corazón (2017)
In 2015, Madame Récamier embarked on a new project called “SikitiBoom!” in collaboration with Wanatox from Tropikal Forever. She describes this period of her life as “a new musical education.” Madame was learning new production tricks and techniques, including mixing, synthesizers, vocal pedals, and sound equipment. She also delved into new musical genres like reggae, hip hop, dance, and reggaeton.
This new perspective led her to compose in a different way, preparing songs for her new album "Mi Corazón," where she experimented with genres ranging from reggae and synth-pop to bolero and Latin American folklore. The album was also produced by Wanatox, reinforcing their collaboration as both producers and partners.
Released in 2017, “Mi Corazón” marked a significant step in Madame's career. She debuted at Lunario, where the crowd sang along to “Jamás pensé,” a hit from the album that deeply resonated with her audience. This album showcased Madame's growth as an artist, blending diverse influences to create a unique and captivating musical experience.
ImaGina (2013)
Madame already had most of the tracks ready, and during one of her songwriting sessions, she invited Luis Humberto Navejas of Enjambre to her house. That day, the song "Luz Verde" was born. Inspired by city traffic and the challenges of progressing in life, the collaboration began with Gina asking Luis for a "green light." Luis hummed a melody, "dame luz verde cariño," to which Gina responded, "si puedes déjame entrar," and the rest was history. They recorded the demo in her small home studio, which unfortunately was later robbed, taking almost all her equipment.
Another serendipitous day, Madame arrived late for her ballet class in Coyoacán and wasn't allowed in. She sat at a nearby café where she happened to meet Rubén Albarrán. They exchanged smiles and chatted briefly about music. Madame ran to her car to gift him her "Chocolate" album, and Rubén gave her his "Hoppo!" album in return. Inspired by this encounter, she wrote the song "Me Marcho a la Guerra" on her way home. Ironically, ten years later, Madame would record Rubén's vocals in her studio (Nueva York Musica) for the album of Los K'comxtles.
After several weeks of sending songs to Chetes via email, they scheduled the recording. Madame flew to Monterrey, staying at a friend's house. Every day, she went to Chetes' place to pre-produce the album. The following week, they recorded at Alejandro Rosso's studio from Plastilina Mosh, inviting friends to record instrument by instrument, piecing the album together like a delicate and artisanal puzzle.
Madame returned to Mexico to plan the "Luz Verde" video with Julio Carlos Ramos, with whom she had worked on the "Ordinary Boy" video. They decided on a reverse video concept, requiring Madame to learn the song backward while performing a detailed choreography with the camera at Producciones Rec Play.
"ImaGina" represents a significant step in Madame Récamier's career, showcasing her relentless effort to discover her musicality and continue her journey as an independent artist. Released in 2013, the album turned "Luz Verde" into a Pantalla de Cristal award-winning song and her most listened to track on Spotify to date.
Chocolate (2010)
With the money she earned from her job as a backup singer, Madame Récamier saved up and traveled to Los Angeles to record two songs, "Ordinary Boy" and "Pam Pam Pam." Upon her return, she uploaded her songs to Myspace and adopted the stage name Madame Récamier. The following year, she formed a band, performed at Vive Latino, and won the María Grever scholarship for Mexican songwriters.
Madame Récamier compares the songs on her debut album "Chocolate" to a box of assorted filled chocolates, each with its own distinct flavor. Every track on the album draws from different musical inspirations, ranging from Mexican artists like Ely Guerra and Julieta Venegas to English speaking artists like Regina Spektor, Imogen heap, The Dresden dolls and Death Cab for Cutie. This eclectic mix of influences results in a rich and diverse listening experience, with each song offering a unique taste of Madame Récamier's artistic versatility and creativity. "Chocolate" is a delightful blend of retro pop, showcasing Madame Récamier's talent for creating songs of love and nostalgia.
The album's standout track, "Mira Mira," was featured in a U.S. commercial, providing the financial boost needed to fund her next album, "ImaGina," which she was already beginning to compose. "Chocolate" serves as a testament to Madame Récamier's early determination and passion, setting the stage for her future success in the music industry.
